I for one have been a master of procrastination. As far back as I can remember, I had always done what I wanted to do, and forced myself to take care of the other things afterward. It worked pretty well up until around high school. I know most of us got away with it more times than I can remember. And I know how hard it is to ‘kick’ the bad habit.
I’ve kicked it! How many things in this world cost money, or personal time? Just about every single thing I can think of in the 5 minutes I just gave myself to try and figure it out. All but one thing. Peace of mind. It’s infinitely more enjoyable to spend your free time actually free. I used to spend my free time before work time. But now, I try to spend it after and… holy cow. I can actually relax.
“So I got that goin for me, which is good.”
Classes are going ok. Nothing at all difficult at this point yet. I’m certainly looking forward to being done and moving on with my life. With the lull in schoolwork a lull in the cold weather has come and, so far, not gone! Waiting for the bus, or the train is bearable. I don’t have to wear a wool cap or gloves. And the sun is staying out longer and longer. If somehow there was a way to diabolically control the earths rotation, I’d make it so the sun was always out from 5:30am to 9:00pm at my locale. Yeah, that would rock.
I turned 26 at the start of the month. There sure are a lot of things to remind you whether or not you’ve gotten as far as you’d hope in your x amount of years. But luckily I’m all over that. 26 is still young!
We went skiing out in Nakiska on January fourth. http://www.skinakiska.com/
Overall not a bad day. Not warm by any means. It was -5 when we left the city but it dropped to -13 or so when we reached the hill. It’s ok, you generate a lot of body heat when you’re active even in the snow. The only bad part was the amount of cold wind. AND, I went down my first black diamond. How’s that? Not too shabby after all. Only my third season of skiing. And to be fair I only went skiing once last year.
It’s the 10th today and I’m still trying to get rid of a cough and sluggishness from the cold air. Nyquil has been my best friend for the last few nights.
School starts on monday and we’ll see what kind of professors I have. Take care.
I have to keep reminding myself. I live in Canada. It hasn’t snowed at all until today. The ground is pure white. The streets and sidewalks have melted. But there’s a nice thin layer of white snow. I’ll thank my luck that it’s taken until November 4th for any snow to fall. All that matters to me is that there is nice snow to ski on come the free weekends.
Congratulations Obama. Time to see what happens with American progressivism. Or should I say- American Liberalism.
Now I’m no fashion expert, but there were a couple things on both sides of the gender spectrum that I wanted to get off my chest.
Men/Boys:

One word: NO.
Stop popping your collar. Very few people are allowed to do so. One being dead (still debatable), and the other being an anime character.
+
Women/Girls:
Stop wearing skinny jeans. (This also applies to males).

If you aren’t wearing boots. Put something else on, it really makes you look like you have chicken legs. What happened to normal nice looking pants?
Big Sunglasses. It didn’t look good when Grandma did it.

It’s not cool when you do it.

That is all. Thank you.
